LIFE & HONORARY MEMBERS

You can find Membership qualifying criteria at the bottom of the page.

Life Membership, established in 2008, is a gesture of great respect and recognition for outstanding contributions to the West Point Golf Club. To qualify as a Life Member, an individual must have been a member of WPGC for at least 10 years, served as a Board member for at least 6 years, made significant contributions to the development of WPGC during that time, and still be an active golfer with WPGC (although not required to play a minimum of 10 games in a season). At any given time, there will be a maximum of 5 Life Members, though there may be fewer if no one meets the criteria for appointment. There is no limit on the number of new appointments in any given year.

Honorary Membership, established in 1990, may be conferred on any member for a period prescribed by the Board of Directors during any regular or special meeting. Honorary members enjoy all the rights and privileges of regular members, except holding office or voting, without the requirement of paying fees. To qualify as an Honorary Member, an individual should meet all the requirements for Life Membership, have, in most cases, been a Life Member, be unable to play golf regularly with WPGC but still be permitted to play as and when able, express a desire to maintain ongoing interest in and contact with WPGC through attendance at Club social events. There is no limit on the number of appointments per year.
